CALLING NEW PEOPLE WANTING TO ATTEND A LARY PROJECT SUPPORT GROUP MEETING, SPEECH THERAPISTS AND LARY PROJECT OLD-TIMERS!

I would like to check people's availability for the final support meeting of the current group on 29 January 2011...

This is also a great opportunity for NEW people to come along as we hope it can serve as an intro for the new programme next year

We also want to use this as opportunity for speech and language therapists to attend to learn more about what we do and take part in some of our workshops.

SO.... Please do get back to me if you are interested in attending, whether you're someone new, a speech and language therapist or a Lary Project old-timer!

A slightly different format is planned so we will be running two rooms with workshops from throughout the year repeated as well as some new elements. You can attend one morning session and one afternoon session from those listed below. A free delicious lunch continues to be provided (the goat cheese salads were a particular hit at the last meeting!):

Sara Harris & Jacob Lieberman - a session on voice therapy and laryngeal manipulation (osteopathy for the larynx). This was a very popular session at a previous meeting so we will be repeating it for those who missed it/want a refresher.

Developing Communication Confidence - Jen MacKay leads a fun workshop on how to communicate confidently including using non-vocal methods

Campaigning Workshop - Kiran Nihalani runs an inspiring session looking at what are the issues involved in having a voice problem, what we want the wider world to know about them and how we can achieve this.

We may also run a session on psychological techniques for managing voice impairment (Peter Butcher) and a Human Resources Director doing a session managing a voice problem with your employer.
