Hi, I have just had laser treatment today. This will be procedure number 9 for laryngyal palpiloma and laryngeal cancer. I have been told my voice will probably be very damaged this time due to the scaring and number of procedures I have had. I was wondering if anyone could reccomend any apps for my iPhone which I could use as a communication aid? Thanks.
Hi Rachel. Sorry to hear about the tough time you are going through. I hope the scarring is not too bad. You may want to think about a supplement like NAC (N-Acetyl cysteine) which is supposed to help the body heal better (but speak to your doctor of course!). As for an app, I must confess I am a HTC user and a total i-phone dunce. Janet on here is very good with tech stuff, maybe you might want to post on her page and also put up a blog post titled voice communication software or similar. Do you ever come down to London? I am keen to run another voice problem group for all new members. Terry
Hi Rachel, sorry to hear of your difficulties, I found an app Called 'speak it" last year, that seemed pretty good, and offerd a choice of voices/ accents for free. However it might be worth doing further searching as there could be a better app out there now. I am lucky that I don't currnelt need to use one, so I might not be totally upto date on the app front.
Hope this helps.
How is everything with you,I picked interest on you after going through your short profile and deemed it necessary to write you immediately.I have something very vital to disclose to you,but I found it difficult to express myself here, since it's a public site.Could you please get back to me on(firstname.lastname@example.org)for the full details. Have a nice day.
thanks Pauline Atta.
