community for people with voice problems started by The Lary Project
Anyone who did not attend today's session, please do not try these without instruction from a suitably qualified voice professional.
a. stick you tongue out slightly between your teeth (relaxes jaw, lowers larynx?)
b. stick thumb into hollow under chin (under tongue area) and circle with some pressure (relaxes jaw, lowers larynx?)
c. extend lower jaw so lower teeth stick out (like an underbite). Now take hands and place on face like with index and middle fingers placed on the points behind the jaw bone. Push out towards your elbows.
d. find the hyoid bone just under where chin turns into neck. Pinch either side with thumb and index finger and apply pressure.
e. swallow and in the gap between the hyoid and larynx, place thumb and index finger in a pinch form. Apply pressure.
Any comments anyone?
