Laryngospasm/ VCD

Last year I had a couple of 'attacks' where my throat felt like it completely closed and I could not breath. They were very scary and I even ended up in A&E after one of them. The cause was diagnosed as an overtired vocal chord, and I was told this was a laryngospasm. Last night I woke up unable to breath, it felt like my throat had collapsed and I was really scared. After sitting up I could feel my throat opening again, and I started to breath :-) Needless to say I was too scared to lay down again and spent to rest of the night bolt upright. Think I might be destined to do this for a few days as atm wild horses could not get me to lay down for fear it will happen again.
Still the reason for this self indulgent post is that this morning I found this website and I thought it might be of interest to others who are also suffering from breathing problems related to LPR or Voice problems
