Thanks Terry.......I want to go there NOW too!.......it's the most amazing place, can't wait to go back, so much more to see and do would love to drive across Canada from east to west......one day maybe :-)
Hi Terry, Thankyou for adding me as a friend and thanks for organising another really good day last Saturday. I tried to write down the manipulation exercises and compared them to your recall. I think there was a yawn involved on B to relax the jaw.On the last one when we had to find the spaces under the hyoid bone, we could move the structure from side to side across the spine and also stretch it by pushing down.I agree with Janet in that I am not overly confident in doing them without more professional instruction . Could you respectfully ask Jacob to give us handouts another time? Maggie
Sorry to bother you again but wonder if you could clarify something. When I spoke to Jacob last week he said I could be referred to him at Lewisham. However I have read on the internet that the team of Sara, Tom and Jacob along with Dinah Harris work at Sidcup hospital. Can you confirm which hospital before I go to my G.P. and ask him for a second referral. Many thanks, Maggie
Hi Terry I just wanted to say a big thank you for all your hard work arranging, what was yet another, fantastic Lary meeting I had a great time and learned a lot as well as having fun and a great laugh with all my Lary friends. Thanks, best wishes, Irene x
Re. rename. I think it's a good idea as it seems people do have problems finding the site.
When I was searching I tried - loss of voice, speech problems, mute, dumb (sorry if that causes offence but I was getting nowhere and feeling desperate!) no speech, unable to talk, dysphonia - even more than that, those are the ones I can remember. There is already a group called Larylife which confuses things a bit too. Having said all that, I can't think of a new name. I am interested to see what anyone comes up with.
Hi Terry, thanks for your message. I did enjoy Saturday, it was a long day for me, but very informative and, of course, good to catch up with you all. If you speak to Sara could you pass on my thanks to her for posting me the CD, very much appreciated. I will take you up on your offer to pick your brains on career stuff for my youngest, I'm off to Dorset for a few days tomorrow, so I'll email you on my return. Many thanks for all your efforts on an extremely well organised meeting. speak soon. Regards Lisa
Yes, I would like to come to the next Lary meeting, sorry haven't answered before but have been away in Devon. My voice is strong and has stayed for the last two weeks...whooo hooo! I saw both Tom and Sara Harris at my ENT appointment in Lewisham and it has been very helpful so thanks to the group I have benefitted greatly. Many thanks, Maggie
I think I will have to take a rain check on the meeting scheduled for 4th September. We have put a deposit on a black labrador puppy and she will be ready that weekend. The breeder lets the puppies go in rotation of who contacted her first so we don't know exactly when the pup will be ready for collection until she rings us. Sorry to mess you about saying I can come and then not knowing for definite, as I know your holiday booking is dependent on the meeting. Good luck with the next meeting.
Hi and thank you for the welcome! I'm likely to be going in for surgery on the 10th November so would love to come along to the event on the 6th (work schedule permitting). I'll let you know. Thanks again r
